The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) have signed a MoU with E.A. Juffali & Brothers Company to establish a high-skill training institute in Jeddah. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Khalid Juffali, vice president and managing partner of E.A. Juffali and Brothers Company, and Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafees, Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), at the Juffali Building here on Tuesday. The SR100 million institute spread over 74,000 sq. meter on Makkah Road will train 300 students in various programs conducted by a team of instructors from Saudi Arabia, Germany and other Arab countries. Major German companies, led by Mercedes-Benz, will participate as technical partners. Dr. Al-Ghafees lauded Juffali's initiative as yet another major step towards upgrading the skills of Saudi youth wanting to join the motor vehicle maintenance industry. “E.A. Juffali & Brothers Co. has a great record in this area,” he said. Ghafees revealed the intention to privatize technical institutes across the Kingdom for better restructure and investment to meet the labor market demands.The presence of private companies in advancing technical training programs has been strongly felt in the country over the last three decades. E.A. Juffali & Brothers Company's experience in technical and vocational training, for example, goes back to 1977 when they opened a training center in cooperation with the German company Daimler-Benz. – Okaz/SG __
