12 teams make semifinals in FBA cagefest

Twelve teams have made it into the semifinals in three divisions of the FBA-Enjaz Estern Union Basketball Tournament at the Sport Village Indoor Gym here.
The principal sponsors of the cagefest are Enjaz (the remittance services of Bank Albilad) and Western Union Money Transfer. Other supporters are Al-Hussaini Investment Group (Seiko), Samsung (UMG), Royal Brunei, CDC Holdings (Quadrillion Sales Inc.), Giordano Fashions, Sky Freight Forwarders, Al-Zafer Cargo, Ay Sarap and La Paz Batchoy Restaurants and Amoudi Almesari Tailoring.
The qualified teams are:
Group A - Al-Majal Servicemasters of Ken Bautista, Saudi Archirodon Shoaiba of Vinod Kumar (commercial manager) and Willie Corpuz, Saudi Binladen Group-RPD of Anwar Hafez and Sharon Manese and Saudi Oger Jeddah of Coach Joe Dollete and Mario Basilio.
Group B - Danube/Snickers of Ronnie Llave and Rowen Villegas, CTS & SMP Rabigh of Rainer Panlilio, Ted Fabian and Coach Alex Versoza, Movenpick Al-Nawras Resort of Ruel Bristol and Saudi Oger Rabigh of Joe Dollete and Alex Montemayor.
Group C - Gulf Express of Usman Esmail, Rey Mariano and Coach Geri Carredo, Hanco Maintenance of Salah Qandeel and Coach Edgar Ainza, Fluor Arabia of Lynn Epps and Elmer Abadin and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) of Robert Celis. In the final round on Nov. 14, all winning teams will face each other in a knockout match for the championship while all losers will vie for the third and fourth positions. Immediately after the three final matches, the awarding ceremony will follow.

Gulf Express 84 (Herrero 17, Macalintal 14, Brezuela 10, Baluyot 10, Balingit 9, Nuqui 8, DeLeon 7 and Velasquez 2) beat Hanco Maintenance 61 (Naguit 19, Cruzat 14, Puertillano 10, Custona 6, Cabello 6, Ainza 4 and Tpgni 2).
Fluor Arabia 92 (Gamboa 26, Villela 17, Tordecillas 13, Fitzner 9, Agtang 8, Teodoro 6 and Abadin 5) beat Sarco Shoaiba 75 (Bacani 23, Galang 22, Alqueza 9, Abella 8, Cortez 6 and Dumlao 6).
CTS-SMP Rabigh 83 (Malaluan 17, Leynes 11, Versoza 10, Solomon 10, Adolf 10, Versoza 8, Panlilio 6, Ocampo 5, Bautista 3 and Fagela 3) beat Dr. Erfan Bagedo Hospital 68 (Nadano (King King) 18, Reynon 17, Arcilla 14, Leyva 13 and Solana 5).
Fluor Arabia 86 (Quibin 19, Gamboa 21, Teodoro 16, Tordecilla 14, Fitzner 8, Agtang 6 and Villela 2) beat Islamic Development Bank 70 (Elvinia 20, Ora 13, Soliveres 6, Santos 4, Ora 4, Macadatu 4 and Esperanza 2).
Danube/Snickers 81 (Aldana 20, Quijano 13, Baron 8, Mabutol 7, Torion 8, Romano 4, Rayan 4, Martin 3 and David 2) beat Alhamrani Fuchs 75 (Dela Vega 39, Dimaronsing 17, Romeo 12, Blas 3 and Villanueva 1). __
