King Abdul Aziz University (KAAU) here is to sign an accord with Al-Khabeer Company for Investment and Development on Tuesday to launch the first investment fund to support future researches and projects of the university. The accord is aimed at providing care and material support for scientific research and studies specializing in Shariah-compliant banking services as well as training Saudi students of the Faculty of Economics and Management in Islamic finance and investment. “Cooperation between private and educational sectors is crucial. Such cooperation will help in cultivating a special generation well-versed in the most developed and latest techniques befitting the Saudi markets and Islamic laws,” said Saleh Muhammad Binladen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Khabeer Company. Dr. Osama Tayyab, Director of King Abdul Aziz University, said the agreement will facilitate in starting several specialized training plans in the field of economic and business administration. – SG __
