shaped hairpin which was swallowed by a two-year-old Indian boy was removed surgically by expert doctors from Khafji hospital. The hairpin was lodged in the boy's throat for over a month. Parents of the toddler Muhammed Anwar had taken him to various doctors after he vomited blood and developed fever but doctors treated him for pneumonia as the boy was displaying similar symptoms. He was diagnosed with a chest infection but the X-ray result showed no congestion in the chest. After a thorough examination and various other tests, doctors discovered a hairpin jammed in the throat. The hairpin was successfully removed by a team of expert doctors in K.J.O.
