RIYADH – The kickoff of the 4th Arab Beverage and Juice Industry Conference and Exhibition this coming Sept. 2 will be held in Cairo for the first time. The activities of the conference and exhibition will continue for two days with the participation of major beverage and juice manufacturing companies, a large number of manufacturers and exporters, representatives of government institutions in the fields of food and agricultural industries, distribution companies, retailers, researchers and academic officials in the presence of representatives from the Chamber of Food Industries, Food Export Council as well as the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce. The conference and exhibition will be organized by the Arab Beverage Association and will be chaired by Al Sharif Monther Al Harthi, CEO of Al Rabie Saudi Food Company, with the cooperation of Concept Company for Exhibitions and Conferences. Al Harthi said: “ The conference and exhibition is a great opportunity to exchange expertise between our industry's leaders, create new partnerships between the various Arab exhibitors in order to establish more projects, identify the most important investment opportunities in the Egyptian market's food, beverage and juice sectors as well as setting the necessary mechanisms to overcome challenges and remove all obstacles facing our industry in the Arab world.” He added: “The conference's will address a number of important issues related to the present and future of food, beverage and juice industry, where the first session will address many topics such as market growth, beverage available opportunities, beverage international trends and discussing the challenges facing juice industry and the international citrus position. It will also address topics related to beverage safety, the latest legislative developments in the beverage sector, the obstacles facing Arab trade - beverage sector in particularly, label consumption information responsibility and food safety management. A number of topics about the industry's investments, retail markets in Egypt and the investment opportunities in these markets will also be threshed out. Other topics to be discussed are related to technological and nutritious developments in the beverage industry, packing designs and their effects on display shelves as well as addressing consumer trends and innovation in beverage industry, Arab youth's habits, ambitions and new trends, beverage industry's future, challenges and opportunities as well as other topics around the sphere of beverage packaging system, environment protection issues, important challenges of packaging lines automated systems as well as the effectiveness and sustainability of packaging through launching better designs at lower resources.
