A Ministry of Commerce report expects one and a-half million sheep to be imported before the beginning of the Haj season, with 500,000 alone for the Sacrificial Meat Project. This is in addition to sheep stock already in the Kingdom. The report also reveals ministry plans to ensure that food standards and pricing are maintained in markets and stalls in Makkah and Madina, and that pilgrim housing requirements are met in hotels and furnished apartments in Makkah, Madina, Jeddah and Taif. – Okaz/SG __
