The Jeddah College of Technology (JCT) is organizing the third symposium on technical and administrative training and education from Monday. The two-day symposium at InterContinental Hotel here, under the auspices of Prince Mish'al Bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah, will discuss total quality management in training and education. Several academicians are expected to attend the symposium. Dr. Mansour Al-Mimani, Dean of JCT, said the symposium aims to highlight the importance and benefits of the application of total quality management in raising the productivity of education and training institutions and improving their output. He added that such symposiums allow members of educational and training institutions to exchange their experiences in application of total quality systems. “Speakers will also highlight comprehensive quality systems and their applications in education and training,” Al-Mimani added. Eminent figures in the field of qualification like Dr. John MacDonald, head of Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) and Dr. Arthur Morgan, head of Learning, Teaching and Collaborative Partnerships, University of Glamorgan Business School will be addressing the symposium, he said. – SG __
