Citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom have been urged to comply with all the Haj regulations put in place by the government.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Central Haj Committee, highlighted preparations for this year's Haj and to urge compliance with instructions and regulations.
During the press conference, attended by Minister of Haj Dr. Fuad Abdulsalam Al-Farsy, Prince Khaled underlined the care of Kingd Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, for the development of Haj services.
Prince Khaled stressed the Saudi leadership's determination to prevent violations of Haj regulations. He urged all concerned agencies to work as one team to provide good services to the pilgrims, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
Prince Khaled said Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Interior Minister and Chairman of the Higher Haj Committee, has approved that the governorate of Makkah Region should supervise the implementation of the media campaign to urge citizens and expatriates to adhere to the regulations of Haj with participation of public security, Passports Department and the ministries of Haj, Culture and Information and Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance.
Prince Khaled stated that the campaign's main goal is to urge people not to perform Haj without an official permit, to prevent unauthorized vehicles from entering Makkah and the holy places and to warn against spurious Haj companies operating withoput authorization from the Ministry of Haj. __
