marital tests program has detected 49 HIV cases this year. Dr. Muhammad Yahya Sa'eedi, Director of the General Administration for Non-Contagious Diseases at the Ministry of Health, said that the program, which concluded on Sep. 26, found 49 HIV cases, 12 of which were in Riyadh and nine in Jeddah.
The program also discovered 2,550 cases of Hepatitis B and 651 of Hepatitis C.
Some 8,796 positive samples for sickle cell anemia were also detected, with the Eastern Province registering the highest rate followed by Al
