King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, have sent cables of congratulations to Barack Obama on the occasion of his election as the president of the United States. King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan congratulated Obama on the confidence bestowed on him by the friendly US people, and hoped that he would successfully shoulder his responsibilities. The Monarch highlighted the existing strong and close relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the US, and said the two countries are keen on realization of peace and justice as well as on enhancing the pillars of security and stability in the Mideast region and in the entire world. The King reiterated the keenness of the Kingdom on further cementing its relations with the US in all domains.
