Everything done in the Grand Mosque should be international. Makkah is not only for the Saudi people. It is for all Muslims. Anne Sksa The Red Crescent should also give training to those who want to become medical volunteers and give them a special identification card so they can assist and respond to all emergencies whether road accidents or any other. Toffe Avenido This volunteer job should be open to expats too, especially considering that they can communicate with most pilgrims. There are expats here who know the languages that many pilgrims speak, such as Urdu, Turkish, etc., and some may already have medical experience and therefore can be of great help. May Allah reward the Saudi volunteers and make them successful. Every time I go to Makkah I see the women who are in the Grand Mosque who are supposed to control the crowds and help with directions. I understand that they have a difficult job and may Allah reward them. However, they are very aggressive and rude to pilgrims, and they leave people with a bad impression about Saudis. They shout in Arabic at the pilgrims who of course do not understand. This makes the women shout more which solves nothing. However, if these women knew some languages, it would help and it would make the pilgrims more comfortable too. I have had to step in more than once when there has been a communication problem resulting in tempers rising. Urdu is not my mother tongue but I know enough to help. Pilgrims are the guests of Allah and deserve respect regardless of their lack of knowledge of Arabic. Inaayah Ahmed
