Nothing can justify the killing of innocent women and children in Gaza who are the target of Israeli brutality. At least 40 children have lost their lives in Gaza after Israel launched air strikes against the civilian population. Most of these children were less than 10 years old. Twenty-four women have also lost their lives in Israeli air strikes. In one of the most tragic incidents, four young boys who were playing football on the beach were deliberately targeted by the Israeli navy. Several international media journalists who were staying in a nearby hotel filmed the horrific scene of the killing of these innocent children. Two days earlier an Israeli air strike targeted the center caring for disabled people killing several innocent victims. Several hundred thousand people have been forced to leave their homes after Israeli warned that it was unsafe for them to remain in the area. Unfortunately, instead of condemning these Israeli war crimes against innocent women and children, the world community, the United Nations and major world powers remain silent and are doing nothing to stop the bloodshed. In a White House Iftar dinner, US President Barack Obama said that Israel had the right to defend itself against the attack of Hamas rockets. Th US Congress has doubled aid to Israel after the Gaza attack in order to enhance its Iron Dome capabilities.
