Jeddah Police on Tuesday arrested a forger and seized fake driving licenses, marriage certificates, medical reports, and Haj permits at a house in Al-Jam'ah district of the city. Police set up the sting with an informer posing as an illegal alien seeking a forged residency permit. The suspect promised him the document within an hour, at a price of SR1,000. After the suspect arrived at the arranged meeting place to hand over the illegal document, police raided his house and found numerous forged items in addition to pens, ink, notebooks and stamps hidden inside a wall behind a large painting. Authorities said the forger, an expatriate, entered the country five years ago and that he possesses a legal residency permit. – Okaz/SG __
