Targeting retailers and consumer markets, Hewlett Packard (HP) Middle East launched its Special Edition ‘Red metallic' Entertainment Notebook, the HP Pavilion dv6700 last week at the Hilton Meeting Center in Jeddah. Khaled Hejazi, country manager for HP Middle East, said HP has combined nature and technological innovation when designing this modern metallic notebook. It is targeting all ages, and not only corporate buyers. “If it is special, then it has to be limited,” he quipped. “The limited quantity of notebooks to be built, around 5,000, shows its uniqueness to the customers. Of course, Saudi Arabia is the key market for us.” He said the company is focusing more on personal computers. “Every third month, we have a new special edition,” he said. “It is part of our strategy to quell global warming.” The notebook, which weighs 3.1 kilograms, is priced at SR. 5499. Hejazi said it is “totally” an HP product. HP is focusing more on simplifying technology experiences for its customers, from individual consumers to the largest businesses, he said. HP is among the world's largest companies, with revenues totaling $107.7 billion for 2007. __
