Jeddah Cricket League held its annual general body meeting at the Lasani-Spinzer here last week. President Shahid Amin attended the AGM along with the executive committee members and member clubs. The welcome address was followed by recitation from the Holy Qur'an. Shahid Amin then briefed the audience about the happenings in the last one month and informed the gathering that the cricket grounds in Obhur, which was occupied by another association, was taken back by JCL through the efforts of the patrons. The audit report for the year 2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07 (till April 30) was presented to the member clubs with a preface from the JCL patron Yasin Ali Reza. Though the 2008-09 season has already started with a festival match, competitions will officially start on Friday. During the course of meeting various clubs were registered for the upcoming season. __
