The Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) is planning to involve 30,000 education workers in its preparations for the 2010 population census. Abdullah Al-Batil, Director General of Population and Social Census, said the CDSI would enlist the help of education employees in preparations prior to the census proper, with around 30,000 expected to take part. The General Administration for Boys' Education (GABE) in Riyadh has already started conducting economic research based on data collected by the CDSI this month, while Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sudairi, Assistant Director General for Education Affairs, said the GABE had made eight school buildings in Riyadh available to function as evening headquarters for census teams, while teachers will further assist in the collection of information and data. – Okaz/SG __
