We won't let terrorists harm Muslims – King
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 29 - 06 - 2014

JEDDAH – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah said here on Saturday the Kingdom will not allow terrorists to terrorize Muslims or harm Saudi citizens or expatriates who are living in peace here.
In an address to the nation and the Muslim world on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, the King said terrorists are misusing the religion of Islam as a cover for their vested interests.
The Kingdom categorically refuses all forms of terrorism, reiterated King Abdullah.
“We hereby declare that we will continue to confront and fight all forms of this menace which does not relate to Islam by any means. With determination, solidarity and cooperation of the sons of this great nation, we will eradicate this abrasion from its roots,” the King asserted.
“Some people have been fooled by bogus calls, which are not related to Islam. These people are confused and cannot differentiate between reform and terrorism. They do not realize that these calls aim to destabilize societies and create schism to divide Muslims,” the King said.
“They have forgotten that the purpose of this great religion is to create a Muslim society that reflects solidarity, forgiveness and tolerance,” the King said in the address.
“We pray to Almighty Allah on this holy night of Ramadan to remove the blindfold from the eyes of the misled and the misguided persons so that they can see the true purpose of Islam, the religion of peace.
“To return to the path of righteousness is better than to continue following the path of falsehood and untruth.
“My Muslim brethren, Allah the Almighty has bestowed on this country the blessings of security and peace.
“We pray to Almighty Allah on this blessed night to restore security, peace, prosperity and stability to the Muslim world and bestow security and political, social and economic stability on all Arab and Muslim countries and peace on the entire world,” the King said. – SPA
