BEIRUT — The Saudi embassy in Lebanon expressed its strong denunciation of the bombing, which occurred in Raouche area in the Lebanese capital Beirut last night and considered it as a terrorist act and attack on the innocent and sanctities. In a statement issued today, it said, 'The embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Beirut condemns the terrorist act which took place in the Raouche area overnight and strongly condemns it because the work does not have any link to human or Islamic values and represents an assault on the innocent and sanctities.' It pointed out that The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia suffered from terrorism in several stages and spares no efforts to combat this scourge alien to our Arab and Islamic values. It added that the security services in the Kingdom have a clear strategy to combat terrorism. The strategy won the appreciation of the international community for effective contribution to promoting global security, it said, adding that the kingdom cooperates with all friendly countries for this purpose. The statement concluded, 'The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's embassy in Beirut, while reaffirming condemnation of this terrorist act, congratulates the Lebanese government for its successes in pursuing terrorist cells and wishes the wounded military and civilian people speedy recovery and to dear Lebanon all security, well-being and stability.' — SPA
