Dr. Osamah Tayeb, Director of King Abdul Aziz University, will launch a center of excellence for osteoporosis researches on Nov. 18. The center will be the first in osteoporosis in the Kingdom and in the Middle East. Moreover, it is one of five new research centers approved by the Ministry of Higher Education to be set up at Saudi universities with contracts worth more than SR150 million. The excellence center for osteoporosis researches will be a leading international research center to promote and conduct studies and research in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and engage in works to improve the quality of life and health and facilitate the transfer of biotechnology to Saudi Arabia.
