Saudi Gazette report RIYADH – Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh has criticized a satellite TV channel for planning to show a series in Ramadan that discusses incest, Al-Eqtisadiah daily reported. He said: “Airing such a series is haram (impermissible in Islam) and immoral; it is a call for corruption and for breaking all permissible barriers.” During his Friday sermon, Grand Mufti called on the TV channel's management to fear Allah and remember that Ramadan is a month of worship and guidance, not a “month of fun and decadence”. He said: “How could a TV series show an actor who says in front of viewers that he has slept with his mother or his sister? “Filming such series is impermissible and showing them to the public is dangerous.”
