Growing visitor numbers from Asia and increased business ties have encouraged the Middle East travel trade to attend ITB Asia, with the aim to penetrate the fast-growing Asian tourism sector. According to the World Travel Organization, overall East Asia and Pacific outbound tourism is projected to grow by 6.5 percent, higher than the world average of 4.1 percent and is expected to reach 405 million by 2020. Tourism Boards from Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt will be taking part in ITB Asia to raise their profile and establish new business contacts. Held in Singapore, ITB Asia is the premier meeting forum for the Asian Travel Market, providing a global platform for establishing new customer contacts and conducting business with hundreds of professional corporate travel and MICE buyers from around the world.
