Resetting it to 25 May, the court told the Attorney General's office to ensure that all the defendants attend the sessions in future, along with their lawyers. There were 23 defendants in the Tripoli court today, among them Al-Baghdadi Al-Mahmoudi, the former Gaddafi prime minister, Abdullah Senussi and Abu Zeid Dorda who headed the regimes's External Security Agency. Saif Al-Islam made an television-link appearance from his jail in Zintan as did eight other defendants from Misrata. In today's closed session proceedings, the court summonsed non-appearing defendants and lawyers and called for a medical report for the defendant Nuri Al-Jetlawi at the request of his lawyer. Both Saif Al-Islam and Abdullah Senussi was asked if they had any requests by the judge. Saif replied “Salamtek”, wishing him good health, in effect a polite way of saying “no”. Senussi, however, replied “I want to meet my defence lawyer”. The trial was attended by members of defendants' families and activists from civil society organisations amid a high level of security. – Libya Herald
