Creativity knows no age. Around 50 children aged between 1 - 4, studying at a Montessori School, were each given a canvas and little bottles of paints to create their artworks for the “Little Hands Exhibition.” Under the guidance of their art teacher, the tiny tots brimming with energy had dipped their brushes in every bottle of paint, made swirls and strokes, splashed colorful blobs on every corner of the canvas until their masterpiece was complete and ready for display. The “Little Hands Exhibition” was one of the cutest two-hour exhibition ever hosted by Tashkeil at Kayanspace in Jeddah recently. In one of Kayanspace's large, well-lighted room, the children's colorful painting adorned the white walls. As soft music played in the background, parents and grandparents “oohed” and “aahed” at their little budding artists' adorable artworks, while the children treated themselves to mini cupcakes and candies and played with balloons with their friends. Some young artists also told their parents what their creative little minds had made them create. “The exhibition was very nice, and very cute,” said the grandmother of a three-year-old girl, echoing the sentiments of many others in the room. Founder/CEO of Tashkeil Sofana Dahlan, who took the initiative of exhibiting the artworks of the tiny tots, said that creative talent needs to be nurtured from a young age to create a creative society. The children were presented with certificates of participation at the end of the exhibition by Tashkeil.
