MAKKAH — Mukhtar Fallatah headed in a late winner as Al Ittihad claimed a narrow advantage in their all-Saudi showdown against Al Shabab in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League with a 1-0 win at King Abdulaziz Sport City on Tuesday. In a game of few real chances, Fallatah scored the only goal from an unusual position 14 minutes from time as he turned the ball into the net while he was lying prone on the ground. Al Shabab had a Muhannad Abu Radiyah effort ruled out for offside while Al Ittiahd goalkeeper Fawaz Al Qarni kept out a late header by Majed Al Marshadi to give the two-time champions a slender lead to take into next week's return game in Riyadh.
