A symposium to increase the investors' awareness about the health economics and management was launched at Studies and Research Center in King Fahd Hospital here on Sunday. The symposium, launched by Dr. Turki Al-Sharif, Assistant Director of Health Affairs Management, laid emphasis on studying the concept of economics before the starting of any health project said Abdulrahman Al-Sahafi, Public Relations Manager in Jeddah Health Affairs Management. The symposium is part of the Ministry of Health's efforts in training of cadres working in the field of health economics in the Kingdom,” said Khalid Marghlani, spokesman of the Ministry of Health. Discussions on all health economics requirements and the needed techniques are on symposium's agenda. Besides several lectures on the subject have also been planned. “We will involve all the targeted skills, administrative experience, and necessary knowledge to enable Saudi health managers to prepare and assess the economic feasibility studies of investment opportunities in the Kingdom,” said Al-Sahafi. – SG __
