Lucky winners to get homes at Cityscape

JEDDAH — Leading real estate projects will be awarded to lucky winners during the 5th Jeddah Urban Development and Read Estate Investment Event, known as Cityscape Jeddah 2014, organizers said on Wednesday.
The winners of the best real estate projects will be announced at the Cityscape Awards.
Celebrating excellence in real estate development and architecture, the Awards ceremony will be held on May 5, the second day of the event which is expected to be attended by thousands of visitors.
“Cityscape Jeddah 2014 is the biggest ever and we are expecting to receive more than 8,000 visitors this year. As the opening day approaches we are now finalizing preparations to welcome thousands of guests and – as always – we are looking forward with keen anticipation to the annual Cityscape Awards ceremony on May 5 when we will announce this year's winners,” said Dr. Abdullah Bin Mahfouz, Chairman, National Exhibition Company, organizers of Cityscape Jeddah.
He added: “The prestigious Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in Saudi Arabia have become widely recognized as the highest mark of distinction for design visionaries and forward-thinking real estate developers who are raising the bar in the Kingdom's thriving real estate industry with projects ranging from culturally integrated city skylines to sustainable urban communities within Saudi Arabia.”
The Cityscape Awards are presented for four categories and the shortlisted nominees for this year are:
Commercial and mixed use project category:
Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Jeddah is being developed by Prince Sultan Cultural Center Company (PSCC) and is envisaged as a new type of community in which residents will enjoy “social wellness” in a healthy living environment. The master plan incorporates all the components for a strong community: residential, cultural, healthcare, education, retail, offices and commercial spaces, exhibition facilities and hospitality. The site area of approximately 2.4 million square meters of land north of Jeddah features 40 percent of high quality public facilities comprising gardens, urban squares and shaded walkways all interconnected by a large central linear park.
Karawan Business Park in Jubail is being developed by Majd Real Estate Company with Dar Al-Omran as the lead architect. Located on a 28,178 m2 site on King Faisal Street (west) Jubail City, the project is a mixed-use development composed of office and residential apartment buildings with aretail strip, hotel, gated residential compound, recreation center and service buildings to support the complex. IT and Communication Complex is being developed by Riyadh Investment Company (Riyadh) with Zuhair Fayez partnership as the lead architect. Occupying an area of 800,447 square meters, the complex offers a climate for a number of areas of knowledge such as IT, ICT, research and development and higher education. The complex also offers unique housing, social, recreational and commercial activities linked together in a resort-style environment in the middle of nature.

Residential project category:
Murooj Jeddah Development in Wadi Al Asla. The Murooj Jeddah Development Company has been formed through a joint partnership between Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company (JDURC) and Sumou, Located only 10 kilometers east of King Abdul Aziz Airport, the project is a planned community for a population of 170,000 residents and brings to reality several years work on the master planning by JDURC and Sumou, Rayadah Housing Complex, Duplex Contemporary. The development is situated in Obhur Al Janoubia, north of the city of Jeddah. The entire plot measures approximately 2.5 million square meters and the master plan is for 972 luxury villas in contemporary, Arabic contemporary and Arabic modern styles.
Al Rawdah Villas Project, developer TAMLIK Company (Jeddah). The project is located in the middle of Al Rawdah District in the west of Jeddah City. The entire plot area is 9,860 square and comprises 30 villa plots divided into three zones. Each zone has its own prototype Arabic Contemporary style with single villas in Zone A and duplex villas in Zones B & C. – SG
