Conor Express Cargo needed big shots in the stretch to get past Riyadh International School (RIS), 17-2 to capture the Team of the Week award in the 11th week of the Saturday Family Bowling League at the InterContinental Riyadh Hotel Bowling Center. Also sharing bowling spotlight were Leo Mabunga and Beybs Serafico who emerged as the best male and female bowlers of the week respectively. The league is sponsored by the Riyadh International School (RIS) and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). Also supporting the event are the ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC) and NADEC. The Conor Express Cargo was in control throughout against the RIS. Lefty Marvin Arocena drilled in 751 points to lead in Conor Express Cargo while Zaldy Torres, Ellen Bernabe, Danny Gonzales and Ben Valdez extended splendid support by contributing 733, 721, 710 and 709 respectively. For the Riyadh International School (RIS) quintet, mentored by Ric Urrutia Sr., submitting the best score were Rene Clemente (740) and Alex Cao (706). Ric Urrutia, Sr. and Rina Labo chipped in separate series of 706 and 699 while Joe Balanay and Cesar Marquez scored 314 and 273. Samba Financial Group, captained by Mike Benito rolled past Marnny's Bowlers, 15-3 through the heroics of the week's best male bowler Leo Mabunga who posted 805 points. Next best was posted by Bert Lopez (801) who lost the best bowler award to Mabunga by just one point. Resty de Jesus had 754 points while Nilda Base poured 572. Mike Benito and Ed Robillos sealed separate series of 376 and 297 in two games. Novice Naima Valdez rolled 660 points to be at the helm in Marnny's Bowlers. Danny Nabong came next with 562 points. Leody Ersando toppled 554 while Charlie Rosauro and Arnold Quindara added 497 and 456 points respectively. Omar Valdez and Noel Ordonez snatched 350 and 310. G.I. Joe's II recorded 13-9 victory against Pares-Pares. At the forefront in G.I. Joe's II was Doy del Moral with 790 points and he was followed by Buddy Balisi (733), Esther Melgar (715) and Cas Encila (710). Fareed Aquino downed 421 series in two games. Beybs Serafico through her scientific style burned lanes to post a towering four-game series of 857 points to topscore in Pares-Pares. Her brilliant display won her the female bowler of the week award. Benny Mondoy carded 710 points while Jane Buenaventura, Edgar Buenaventura and Fathi Abdulaziz collected 497, 370 and 351 points.
