Medicines worth SR500,000 stolen

Authorities in Taif are investigating the disappearance of medicines and other equipment worth more than SR500,000 from a warehouse belonging to the King Abdul Aziz Specialist Hospital. Siraj Al-Humaidan, spokesman for Taif Health Department, said the warehouse was broken into last weekend and police were called and an assessment of stolen items made. Investigations are under way, the spokesman added. –Okaz __
