and the foreign mothers of Saudi citizens! Don't forget the foreign mothers of Saudi (citizen) children who are legal residents of Saudi Arabia. The authorities should not forget the foreign mothers who gave birth to Saudi children (of the tribes) who are now legal Saudi citizens. We want our rights too! D.B., via online II. Two different issues This is in response to the article “Saudi woman responsible for half a citizen?” in Saudi Gazette on April 20. Why are people trying to bring up the issue of expats getting citizenship when talking about Saudi women and citizenship for their children? Saudi women are not in the same category because they are citizens first, and have rights by birth. Expats are immigrants going to Saudi Arabia for work who stay there for years. That doesn't give them the right to be citizens. Two different issues. Saudi isn't the US or Europe so get over it. Support Saudi women first. AJ, via online III. Key matter Thank you Saudi Gazette for your kind words and highlighting this matter to our children. We are very concerned about the future of our children. This is our country, then how can our children be called foreigners? We gave them birth by endangering our lives. Our society does agree that these children whose mothers are Saudi should be considered natural Saudi just like children of Saudi men and non-Saudi women. We request our beloved King to help and have mercy on us. A Saudi mother, via online
