Luxury sports cars, some even costing SR7 million each, will be on display here at the EXCS exhibition starting Monday. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region, will inaugurate the event at the Hilton Hotel. The three-day show is expected to specially attract young people with a craze for such cars. According to Abdullah Saleh Al-Shamasi, Executive Manager of EXCS, the exhibition is one of the most important events of the Bride of the Red Sea. “The importance of this event comes with the latest economic boom that the country has recently witnessed,” Al-Shamasi said. “With this event, we hope we can add something to Jeddah. Visitors to this show will see new models of cars with a minimum price tag of SR250,000, to add more magnificence to the show,” he said. Al-Shamasi pointed out that the show will also prove to be an important tourism attraction for Jeddah. “Such an event will undoubtedly increase the number of visitors to the city. We expect over 30,000 elite people and visitors at the show,” he added. The show will, for the first time, introduce new high price cars costing some seven million riyals. “These cars will be shown for the first time anywhere in the whole world. This will also add importance to Jeddah and to the show itself,” he said. – SG __
