Passionate creativity places Memac Ogilvy on a pedestal
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 04 - 2014

AS part of his regional tour, the chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy, Edmond Moutran, met with the Saudi office team during the annual Red Breakfast event. On this occasion, long-serving employees of the Jeddah office were honored for their 5, 10, 15 and 20 years with the agency and their commitment in contributing to the success of MEMAC-Ogilvy. One employee at the agency was honored with the “The Employee of the Year” title for their outstanding performance and dedication to their work in 2013. The event was also an opportunity for the attendees to share new ideas and feedback with the Chairman.
Moutran expressed his appreciation to the contribution of the KSA team to the success of the company and shared his vision and objectives for next year, with special focus on the role of creativity and digital capabilities.
He emphasized on pervasive creativity as a main pillar for next year and the years to come. He explained how creativity was a turning point in the company's mission towards being one of the most awarded agencies in the region. “Creativity is not a restricted area for the creative team; it should be applied to every single discipline within the agency. We have a longing for creativity, and our passion in applying it in every single project we handle is what distinguishes us,” said Moutran. “By being intuitive, proactive and creative we can tell our clients something they never heard and make sure we are invaluable to them,” he noted.
Highlighting Memac Ogilvy's achievements as the top ranking Middle East and North Africa's marketing communication agency, Moutran said “this month was an exceptional one for us to remember years to come; we won 3 very special awards at the 2014 Dubai Lynx Festival. I was honored with the prestigious title of “Advertising Person of the Year”; our Dubai office was awarded the “Agency of the Year” title; and, to top it all, Memac Ogilvy took the very coveted title of “Network of the Year”. These top accolades would not have been possible without contribution from each one of our employees, who we truly value as an integral part of shaping the success and future of the Memac Ogilvy family. We are passionate about our communications business, our clients and in everything that we do to add value to our clients' businesses,” he noted.
Moutran assured that the company will always continue to focus on clients' work and business. “We want to be the kind of agency with a reputation that clients talks about, the best agency, with the passion and soul to deliver the best work and campaigns for all our clients”, he said. — SG
