Hilton Worldwide announced Sunday the signing of a management agreement with prominent local investors Faisal Al-Ansari Contracting, to build a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The hotel is expected to open in 2016. Located in the industrial heartland of KSA's Eastern Province, the new-build 125-room Hilton Garden Inn Al Jubail will enjoy a prime site on the developing Al Jubail Corniche. With excellent accessibility to the city's commercial business district and industrial zones, the hotel is also easily accessible from the nearest major international airport, King Fahd International Airport. Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn, said: “The highly acclaimed Hilton Garden Inn hotel brand prides itself on providing the growing value-conscious traveller market with a range of superior amenities at an affordable price. With an increasing number of new Hilton Garden Inn hotels planned in key cities across the Kingdom, the brand is gathering valuable momentum as Saudi Arabia proves particularly responsive to our dedicated quality service as well as our Hilton Garden Inn Promise of providing an excellent hotel experience for every guest, every time.” In recent years, the Hilton Garden Inn brand has enjoyed repeated award winning success in recognition of the brand's superior customer service and facilities at a level often found in full service hotels. Hilton Garden Inn Al Jubail will feature a range of these quality facilities including a fitness center, an outdoor pool and the welcome in-room relaxation of the brand's quality attributes including an ergonomic chair. Business travellers will also appreciate the choice of three boardrooms, a multi-purpose meeting room, a business center and the customary complimentary Wi-Fi. Dining options will include a garden lounge and an all-day dining area. Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa, said: “Today's announcement is particularly timely with all economic indicators suggesting Al Jubail is enjoying an exciting phase of growth. This expansion provides the perfect foundation for the hospitality sector to prosper. Affordable hotels, such as Hilton Garden Inn, will help strengthen the city's reputation as a progressive and dynamic destination.” Jubail has been a forerunner in establishing ‘industrial centres' which has re-energized the city with new types of manufacturing companies and service sectors. As an indicator of the city's successful divergence from the dominant oil-sector, Jubail is already making a 11.5 percent contribution to KSA's non-oil GDP. Faisal Al-Ansari, owner of Faisal Al-Ansari Contracting, said: “As Al Jubail continues to attract international investment and visitors, Hilton Worldwide was the natural choice of partner to bring the quality experience and first class hospitality standards guests expect of a growing business hub.” — SG
