The Court of Cassation here has approved the 8-year and 2,000 lashes sentence given to a man for kidnapping and raping a juvenile, and filming him with a mobile phone. The sentence also included a fine set according to the monetary value of the car he used in the crime, and the destruction of the mobile telephone and memory chip used during the act. Police had received a report from the victim's family which detailed the assailant's threats to the boy that he would distribute the film if he spoke to anyone of the crime. Police distributed a sketch of the suspect based on the victim's descriptions, and the man was finally caught still in possession of the telephone with the film recorded on its memory card. – Okaz __
