week long youth training program aimed at developing the skills of the younger generation issues was launched here this week. The program under the banner “Building of Youth's Character,” is being held under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region. The general coordinator of the youth program and a professor in King Abdul Aziz University medical department, Dr. Abdul Wahab Bin Abdul Rahman Noorwali, said the specialized program aims to develop self-development in the youth. “This specialized training program will educate them on how to deal with adolescents and put positive influence in them,” he said. The main objectives of the training program include training, rehabilitation, self-development, practice and application of the skills, gaining confidence and dealing with youth problems. “This is part of the whole training and development program wherein we want to empower the youth, and offering them the right tools to be successful in their life,” he said. Most modern training methods and computers are being used in the program. These programs have five areas of six different courses. The development training program is separated by software applications. It is a continuous learning process with the practical application, practice and individual counseling, self-development and Managerial Assessment of Proficiency (MAP) . Several governmental and private organizations including the World Assembly of Muslim Youth and Saudi Economic and Development Organization (SEDCO) are sponsoring the program. Dr. Noorwali thanked and appreciated the continued support extended by the Makkah Emir for the programs helping the youth achieve their dreams and aspirations to serve the country. __
