JEDDAH – A model examination for India's medical/engineering entrance will be held in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states on March 28. Focus International, a Kerala-based NGO, is organizing the TIPS (Test to Inspire the Pre-Professionals) examination for Indian expatriate students living in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. There will be four exam centers in Saudi Arabia namely: Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Jubail, according to Prinsad, coordinator of TIPS in the GCC. He said that centralized valuation is one of the unique features of TIPS examination. TIPS, an integrity program for students, aims at supporting the medical/engineering aspirants to approach highly competitive professional exams without fear and stress as well as to foster their self-confidence and know the model and method of the exams. Around 20,000 students are expected to sit for the model entrance exam in Kerala, and the exam will be held simultaneously in GCC states also. The rank holders will be honored at a special ceremony during which the winner of first rank will be given a gold medal, Prinsad said.
