The Manila Bistro team, captained by Emil Rances and partly sponsored by Froilan Rodriguez, Manila Bistro's General Manager, seared lanes to finish ahead among top contenders to bag the team event title of the FBGR Ramadan Eid Get-Together Bowlfest'08 at the InterCon Riyadh Hotel Bowling Center. Ericsson-The Manila Bistro submitted a combined total team series of 3,062 pinfalls through Arnold Marchan, Ric Tugonon, Emil Rances and Rocky Manipon. Marchan led by posting 809 points. He was followed by Tugonon (781), Rances (769) and Manipon (703). The winner won a cash prize of SR1,600 and individual trophies. Bin Manie Est. team, skippered by Joe Ligon secured the second place by garnering total team series of 2,950 points. Ligon topscored with 781 points and he was followed by Jett Cabana (769), Willie Ortega (709) and Nap Torres (691). A cash prize of SR800 was awarded to the Bin Manie Est. keglers plus individual trophies. Completing the list of the top three winners was the Fathi Bowlers consisting of elite lady players Ellen Bernabe, Cely Mendoza, Vicky Vitug and Esther Melgar. Total team series of 2,915 points were submitted by the Fathi Bowlers and on top was Mendoza with 749 and she was followed by fellow Melgar (727), Vitug (721) and Bernabe (718). The team won a cash prize of SR600 plus individual trophies. Fathi Abood Abdulziz sponsored the team. The fourth-placed was the Conor Express Cargo, captained by Danny Gonzales with members Fred Dioquino, Zaldy Torres and Ben Valdez. Total team series of 2,891 points were recorded by the Conor Express Cargo keglers. Joe, Joe, Joe team secured the fifth place by posting a total team series of 2,887 points. The team was managed by Ed Robillos with members Butch Espinosa, Rico Feria and Benjie Galicia. Standing of other teams: 6. Edwin Nunez recited the oath of sportsmanship while FBGR Director for External Affairs, Rodel Canda emceed the opening ceremony.
