The Municipality will implement more than 86 projects at a total cost of SR2.3 billion to give a facelift to the Bride of Red Sea within the next three months, said Ibrahim Katabkhana, Undersecretary of the Projects in Jeddah Municipality, here Saturday. The projects include the expansion of the intersection of Prince Majed Street with Sulatn Bin Salman Street, a new tunnel for King Abdul Aziz Road with Municipality Street, maintenance and improvement of storm-water drainage network in the south, east and north of the city, development and improvement of North and South Corniche, and maintenance of bridges. Open areas around Al-Salam Palace will be developed, a standby power station will be set up in Al-Zahra pumping station and a bridge will be built in Obhur. The projects include the study and design of tunnels and bridges for intersections and a study on operational efficiency of traffic through Al-Harameen Road. __
