The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has opened a new terminal at Dubai International Airport that will increase capacity at the airport by 50 percent. The new Terminal 3 at Dubai airport will be for the sole use of the UAE national airline, Emirates. When it is fully operational, Dubai Terminal 3 will be able to handle a massive 43 million passengers. The new terminal is being opened in phases. On Oct. 14, flights departed to and from New York, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Toronto in the Americas, plus local flights to Doha, Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jeddah, Amman and Riyadh.
