BERLIN — European champion Bayern Munich extended both its unbeaten league records with a 2-0 win at Nuremberg Saturday as the Bavarian giants remained 13 points clear in the Bundesliga. The 39-point gulf between the two teams in the league table was clear as run-away leader Bayern has now collected 56 of a possible 60 points this season. This was Bayern's 45th unbeaten Bundesliga match, dating back to October 2012, and its 29th unbeaten away game to add to their league records. Nuremberg came into the game in resurgent mood with two previous wins, but the defeat dropped it back into the bottom three. Third-placed Borussia Dortmund enjoyed a 5-1 win at Werder Bremen with Poland striker Robert Lewandowski and attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan both scoring twice. In the basement battle, Eintracht Frankfurt moved up to 12th with a 3-0 win at home to bottom side Eintracht Braunschweig. Freiburg was held to a 1-1 draw at home to Hoffenheim while sixth-placed VfL Wolfsburg enjoyed a 3-0 win at home to Mainz 05. On Friday, second-placed Bayer Leverkusen enjoyed a 1-0 win at Borussia Moenchengladbach with South Korea's Son Heung-Min scoring the second-half winner. 10-man Espanyol wins Hector Moreno's late goal gave 10-man Espanyol a 1-0 win at home over Granada in the Spanish league Friday, as the Barcelona-based side ended a four-game winless run. Granada goalkeeper Roberto Fernandez saved Moreno's first two headers from corner kicks taken by Sergio Garcia, but the defender beat him on his third try after Garcia found Moreno unmarked at the near post in the 78th minute. Espanyol's Victor Alvarez saw a direct red for fouling Youssef El Arabi from behind with only the goalie to beat in the 29th. But the hosts mustered more scoring chances through Garcia's playmaking and stayed firm in defense, except for El Arabi's shot off the crossbar in the 61st. Espanyol provisionally moved into eighth place with its first win after losing in the last two rounds and in both legs of its Copa del Rey quarterfinal with Real Madrid. “The good thing is that we were able to overcome the dismissal and get the three points,” said Garcia, who again was Espanyol's best player in attack. “The team even with 10 men worked very hard. That's how our team is made. We never give up and saw the recompense at the end.” Granada remained in 14th place. A minute of silence was held for former Spain coach Luis Aragones before the match at Cornella-El Prat Stadium. Aragones died on Feb. 1 at the age of 75. — Agencies
