Saudis out of work in the Kingdom has been set at 18,115, according to the General Statistics and Information Department at the Ministry of Economy and Planning. The latest ministry statistics show that 0.43 percent of non-Saudis are unemployed. Other calculations reveal that the Kingdom is the top destination in the Mideast for expatriates arriving in 2007, recording a 51 percent increase, the highest rate of increase in the region that has in total witnessed a 13 percent rise. Male non-Saudi workers numbered 4.96 million by the end of last year, an increase of 3.8 percent, while females registered an increase of 14.2 percent since last year. – Okaz __
