RIYADH – The Ministry of Labor announced on Tuesday the resumption of recruitment of domestic workers from Nepal. Deputy Minister of Labor for International Affairs Ahmed Al-Fuhaid said that the recruitment departments at labor offices across the Kingdom have started issuing visas for Nepali domestic help. “Announcement about agreements (with a number of other countries) with regard to hiring domestic workers will be made next month. This was in line with the ministry's efforts to expand the circle of countries for hiring house helpers,” he said. Fuhaid disclosed that the enforcement of the bylaw for domestic workers, setting up of committees to settle disputes involving these workers and their sponsors, and such other measures have contributed considerably in the progress of the ongoing negotiations with a number of countries in this regard. – SG
