Dr. Land Hanafi, Chairman of West Java's Chamber of Commerce (WJCC), has said that Saudi businessmen plan to visit Indonesia to discuss investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, notably the cultivation of rice in West Java. Hanafi expressed Indonesia's enthusiasm to work with Saudi businessmen, describing the West Java province as offering cheap labor and good natural resources for agriculture, Al-Watan daily said. Hanafi's remarks came on Saturday during a visit by a delegation to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) including the Economic Affairs Consul at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, Winardi Loki. Mustafa Sabri, Secretary General of JCCI, said that Indonesia was becoming an increasingly important producer of rice, while the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was one of the largest rice consuming countries. Sabri expects rice production to gain in significance in trade relations between the two countries, and highlighted the many opportunities for trade between the two countries, singling out the food and clothes industries. The Kingdom is witnessing a boom in power projects, railways, and petrochemical industries, he said, reiterating that all means and facilities have been made available to promote foreign investment in the Kingdom. __
