THE opening ceremony of the King Faisal Exhibition “Shahid wa Shaheed” was held at Jeddah International Exhibition Center on Saturday, which was exclusively for ladies in the evening. Princess Al-Anoud Bint Abdullah said at the opening ceremony that it was a great honor to have the opportunity to show affection and respect for King Faisal, who gave a new face to Saudi Arabia and developed strategic goals for the country. She said the enduring legacy of King Faisal is an example for today's generation, young and old alike. According to Princess Al-Anoud the exhibition will be a great milestone in the history of Saudi Arabia. The Princess toured the exhibition area with groups of women and discussed different aspects of King Faisal's life. The expo includes several upcoming events such as symposia on the enduring legacy of King Faisal, diplomacy during his reign, the university, and King Faisal's commitment to the Islamic Ummah. The events will also include symposia on the role of media during his reign, Hejazi poetry, foreign policy during King Faisal's reign, his administrative approach and developments during his time. According to the expo organizers, the exhibition is a way of educating people about a great man of his time and an important figure in the history of Saudi Arabia. This expo would be great exposure to people who want to conduct research about King Faisal and his reign in history. There will also be a seminar on King Faisal's legacy to Saudi society that will enhance the vision of the members of Saudi society. The events and other programs related to the expo will continue till the end of November. __
