Samar Yahya Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Bahrain's Consulate held a celebration on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the country's National Day, Sunday evening in Jeddah. Consul General Ibrahim Al-Meslmany and Deputy Consul General Mohammed Ahmad Al-Hejazy and the consulate team received guests. Consul generals and ambassadors of Gulf Countries, Arab and non-Arab countries as well as many major Saudi and Bahraini businessmen, members of the Bahraini community in Jeddah and the media attended the ceremony at the city's Hilton hotel. The ceremony began with the playing of Bahraini and Saudi national anthems. Consul General Al-Meslmany and Salem Ba Shehab, deputy director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah region, with other consul generals cut the celebration cake. Dec. 16 marks the 42nd National Day and the 14th anniversary of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa's accession to the throne. It marks the continuity and achievements of the country in all sectors and fields based on the leadership and vision of King Hamad. The keynote speaker at the ceremony extended gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi leadership, government and Saudi people. In addition, he also extended appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the constant support given to the Consulate of Bahrain. He also congratulated Dubai on winning the right to host Expo 2020. Dec. 16 marks the National Day and the anniversary of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa's accession to the throne. It marks the continuity of renaissance and the country's achievements in all sectors and fields based on the leadership and vision of King Hamad which focuses on boosting and supporting Bahraini people.
