The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Monday that 28 children were among the 76 killed people in the airstrikes on several opposition areas on Sunday. Another activist group, the Local Coordination Committees, put the death toll at 83. It says that number is likely to rise because of the large number of wounded and the lack of sufficient medical supplies. The Observatory said Syrian government aircraft were conducting a new round of airstrikes Monday in the southern province of Daraa, including the villages of Inkhil and Jassem. It also reported new air raids on Aleppo. – AP
