On behalf of Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, President of General Presidency of Youth Welfare, his deputy Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Bin Fahd is scheduled to inaugurate the opening ceremony of 4th Arab Bowling Championship at 8 P.M. at the Universal Bowling Center in Riyadh. The championship, organized by the Saudi Federation of Bowling, will be held from Oct. 11 to 12. The Saudi Sports Channel will broadcast the championship live. Bowlers from ten Arab countries - the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen, Kuwait, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will rock the SR20 million newly-built bowling center inside the sprawling Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Naseriyah. In addition to promoting bowling in the Arab world, holding the championship here shows the Kingdom's keen interest to promote the ties of brotherhood among Arabs and enhance their understanding of each other, said Prince Sultan Bin Fahd in a published welcome speech in the championship bulletin. For a better march of Arab sports, the government of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has always sought to keep organizing such events guided and supported by sports authorities and heads of Olympic committees in the Arab world. Prince Sultan, in his speech, appreciated the efforts of Prince Abdul Hakim Bin Musaed Bin Abdul Aziz, Supervisor of the Universal Bowling Center and avid bowler himself, that have helped organize this championship. The Universal Bowling Center in Riyadh, opened in May 2007, is the brainchild of Prince Abdul Hakim.
