TRACCS, one of the largest public relations networks in the Middle East and North Africa, was named “International Consultancy of the Year (not UK based)” at the PRCA Awards recently held in London. The win was the first time a MENA-based Arab agency took home the gong in the awards' 23-year history. The PRCA win adds to an impressive haul of six international awards received by TRACCS in 2013 – a record year for the PR consultancy, which currently operates across 13 markets in the Middle East and North Africa region, employing more than 240 PR professionals. “TRACCS offers something unique – an indigenous practice in each country they operate in, combined with a sophisticated and globally competitive service. Their local knowledge, strong Arabic competency and extensive network are their biggest strengths and are equally sought after by regional and multinational clients looking to make an impact in the market,” said Francis Ingham, PRCA Director General. “We couldn't have asked for a better way to end what has been an incredibly successful year. The communications demands within the region are growing at a dizzying speed and companies are looking for skilled practitioners who are rooted in the market, understand how it works and can provide valuable insights in addition to the standard suite of PR services,” added Mohamed Al Ayed, TRACCS President and CEO. “Being recognized by one of the most highly respected bodies in our industry is a real inspiration to keep developing the practice of public relations in the MENA region by investing in local talent.” One of the most prestigious peer-judged accolades in the communications industry, the annual PRCA Awards recognize exceptional talent within the UK and international PR industry, showcasing the achievements of both in-house communications teams and consultancies. — SG
