Syeda Amtul Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The "Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi Academy" organized a program to felicitate eight new Muslim expatriate ladies who embraced Islam at Lasani restaurant recently. The ladies who came into the fold of Islam were Wajida Bano, Shaik Fatima, Zahida Bano, Alia Baker, Fatima Faheem, Dr.Bindu, Zainab and Muna. Baker, earlier known as Jeannie Baker, was the chief guest. Baker, professionally a teacher, accepted Islam in Saudi Arabia few years ago. She shared her experience and brought to light the problems faced by new Muslims. Dr. Seema Malik, Umme Khalid, Ayesha Surati and Chaudhry Shahbaz were the guests of honor at the function. The program started with the recitation of some verses from the Qur'an by Sara Altaf followed by a welcome address by Farhana Behjat. Indian national Dr.Bindu described in detail about her journey toward Islam, the difficulties and problems she faced during that period. She appealed to the community to come forward and spread the correct knowledge of Islam to their non-Muslim friends. The program was conducted by Shumaila Salman and Lubna Zubair coordinated with the management. It was hosted by Behjat, director of "Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi Academy." The gifts were sponsored by Ajmal, Surati, Mushir Alam and Al Qasmi perfumes, Indian International School Jeddah Old Boys Association, Abu Kas Establishment, Haji Mohammed Ayub welfare organization, Mehfil restaurant, Soofiya Nadeem and Ehtaram Ilahi. Behjat delivered the vote of thanks, congratulated the new Muslims and requested everyone to extend their support and cooperation to them.
