TORONTO — The red-hot Miami Heat showed no signs of sluggishness from their massive US Thanksgiving dinner at LeBron James's house, grinding out a 90-83 win over the Toronto Raptors for their ninth consecutive victory Friday. A day after some Heat players were photographed at James's Akron, Ohio, home passed out from a massive meal typical of the holiday, Miami was forced to fight off a spirited Toronto rally before extending the league's longest active win streak. Miami looked headed for a blowout after building a 20-point lead with about five minutes left in the third quarter, but the Raptors closed out the period with a 16-4 run and then pulled to within two points with less than five minutes to play. But James took over from there, scoring his team's final seven points to lead the two-time defending champion Heat with a game-high 27 points on 10-for-17 shooting. DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points for the Raptors who were undone by horrendous free-throw shooting, especially late in the game when they missed six from the line in the final five minutes. It marked the second successive loss for Toronto (6-9), who entered the game with a one-game lead in the Atlantic Division where all five teams have losing records. Miami (13-3), one of just three teams in the 15-team Eastern Conference with a winning record, will enjoy a day off before hosting the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday. Thunder 113, Warriors 112 (OT): The Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to six games with an 113-112 overtime win over the Golden State Warriors, winning on a three-point basket by point guard Russell Westbrook with 0.1 seconds left. The Warriors were led by Stephen Curry's 32 points while Westbrook scored 34 for Oklahoma City. Spurs 109, Magic 91: It did not take long for the San Antonio Spurs to get back on track, rolling to an easy 109-91 victory over the Orlando Magic. The Spurs (14-2) had their 11-game winning streak snapped in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, but they responded by notching another victory with forward Tim Duncan scoring 19 points while pulling down nine rebounds in just 24 minutes. The Magic (6-10) got 17 points from guard Arron Afflalo and 15 from guard Victor Oladipo. Bobcats 92, Bucks 76: Center Al Jefferson had 23 points and 12 rebounds, including 19 points in the second half, as the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Milwaukee Bucks 92-76. The Bobcats led by as many as 15 in the first half, settled for a 41-31 halftime lead, and then pushed the margin back up to as many as 19 in the second half. Celtics 103, Cavaliers 86: The Boston Celtics led wire-to-wire and cruised to a 103-86 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Forward Jeff Green scored a season-high 31 points and guard Avery Bradley added 21 points to lead the Celtics (7-11), who shot 11-for-23 from three-point range. Guard Jordan Crawford delivered a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Hawks 88, Mavericks 87: The Dallas Mavericks, up by 17 points in the third quarter, went stagnant offensively after point guard Jose Calderon sprained his ankle and the Atlanta Hawks took advantage to win 88-87. Lakers 106, Pistons 102: Forward Wesley Johnson scored 27 points and the Los Angeles Lakers used a late 12-0 run to propel them to a 106-102 victory over the Detroit Pistons. Rockets 114, Nets 95: Continuing their torrid play at home, the Houston Rockets jumped out to an early double-digit lead and coasted to a 114-95 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Other results: Pelicans 121, Sixers 105; Pacers 93, Wizards 73; Suns 112, Jazz 101; Nuggets 97, Knicks 95; Clippers 104, Kings 98 (OT). — Agencies
