Published in The Saudi Gazette on 25 - 11 - 2013

Obvious changes are visible as skin ages, especially in concentrated areas such as hands, neck, face and around eyes.
Some of the factors contributing to accelerate the occurrence of these changes are excessive exposure to sunlight, adverse weather factors or the hormonal changes that affect women in particular.
Modern aesthetic medicine has emphasized prevention of aging and delaying the signs of aging because treatment produces better results compared to the results after aggravating the situation.
Methods to prevention
Regular usage of sunscreens and other creams as well as various therapies chosen by the doctor according to an individual's age and condition of the skin helps prevent skin aging. Also one needs to follow a balanced and complete diet regime.
Botox injection
The Botolinum Toxin Type A is a protein derived from the bacterium dubbed Claustrederm Buthelinyum. It is one of the best techniques used for the prevention of wrinkles, which usually begin to emerge at the age of 30 or may begin before that, in some cases. Botox can be injected where wrinkles are seen or visible, at the top and bottom of the face, eye contour, the top of the nose, chin.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a medical technology and one of the latest trends in the world of cosmetics. The process is about injecting materials of various compositions under the skin according to the desired goals. The components are botanical extracts, dietary supplements, vitamins, amino acids, minerals and enzymes.
Lasers
With age and time, the skin starts to lose collagen, causing loss of elasticity and vitality, and it becomes flabby. A new technology, the CO2 radio fractional laser machine among others induces the skin to retain collagen and to make it younger and tight.
Peeling System
Peeling induces production of new skin cells maintain youth and splendor. Also it removes fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots, which increasingly appear in the skin with aging.
Stem cells
A new revolutionary technique, fat from an individual's body is extracted in small amounts, treated with enzymes and then injected in the required area of the patient.
Stem cells increases the production of new skin cells and activate sleeper cells thus increasing the production of Elian collagen and Elastin, which helps the fullness of the skin and refine it and make it more youthful and fresh. It also prevents hair loss and stimulates hair growth and speeds up healing of burns and scars.
